BETTER COTTON WORKSHOPS
BETTER COTTON WORKSHOPS

On March 28 and 29, 2023 in Abidjan, workshops were organized by Better Cotton, a non-profit organization that promotes better cotton growing practices in 24 countries. The initiative now accounts for around 12% of global cotton production.

The organization of these workshops falls within the framework of the end of its partnership with Cotton made in Africa (CmiA).

The objective of the first workshop was to gather multi-stakeholder actors from the whole region, from the cotton sector and beyond, to share experiences, learnings and explore opportunities for collaboration, which can serve to shape and inform activities and ambitions of Better Cotton in order to achieve a tangible impact in West Africa.

The second workshop focused on Côte d'Ivoire's application for membership. It allowed Better Cotton to measure the involvement of actors in the Ivorian cotton sector and learn about the actions already undertaken.

Ivoire Coton was represented by its Managing Director, Mr. Jean-Charles SIGRIST and its Commercial Director, Mrs. Johanna ADOTEVI.
